Who are we?
Educo is a unique, bilingual pre-school and study centre where each unique child’s needs are catered for. Our focus is to develop outstanding students for a challenging world. We believe the best way to achieve that is to acknowledge the individuality of every pupil in terms of background, developmental milestones and learning styles. Children who feel safe and loved are children of stability and self-confidence.

Academic
Our objective is to ensure the school readiness of every child. We follow the ELDA curriculum (as prescribed by the Department of Basic Education) because it is highly appropriate on a cognitive, social, emotional and physical level for a pupil ready to embrace the new adventure awaiting him. Because we believe a child learns best through free play, our year’s programme is filled with fun, educational activities.
A report on how a child has adapted to his new environment is distributed at the end of the first term, while progress reports are issued mid-year as well as year-end. We encourage open, transparent communication between staff and parents and our teachers are always willing to attend to queries or have a chat.
Hours
Monday to Friday: 06:30 to 17:30 (Baby centre, pre-school and study centre/aftercare)
Closed on public holidays and departmental public holidays. Open during school holidays with exciting programmes focusing on creativity and free play.
Meals
Balanced, nutritional meals are freshly prepared daily. The school provides breakfast, a morning nibble, lunch and another nibble in the afternoon. Water, juice and tea (Milo during winter) is available.
Safety and security
CCTV in classes and on the playgrounds
Teachers, assistants and tutors are all qualified in first aid.
At least two members of staff are also qualified in fire safety.
Fees
Monthly fees for the baby centre, pre-school and study centre are available upon request and will be based on your need for half-day or full-day care. Please feel free to contact us. In-house field trips, meals and nibbles as well as the items for make-and-bake are included in the fee.
